Elizabeth Moore earned her Bachelor’s degree in Science Education from the University of Central Florida in 1978. She worked as a certified teacher in the field of Biology for Secondary Education for 18 years. During this time she developed an Environmental Education Program and participated in many workshops and classes in developing laboratory activities for both Biology and Ecology students in grades 10 through 12.She received the Disney Innovative Teacher of the Year Award, Governor’s Nominee for Environmental Science Education and AT& T Environmental Educator. She has been a Project Wild and Project Learning Tree Facilitator for over 20 years helping to present environmental education to students through formal and informal settings. Ms. Moore recently received her certification as a Certified Interpretive Guide through the National Association for Interpretation to advance natural and heritage interpretation skills and continues to maintain her Florida Teachers certificate. Ms. Moore owns and operates her own company called Sea Science that provides educational programs for a variety of science fields.
